Lightfoot Engineering provides a service and product that is second to none. Starting with 100-grit paper, we patiently hand-sanded the entire hub to remove nicks, pits and scratches. Phil worked his magic and now I'm all sorted! I decided on using the hammered finish, since the frame was too pitted for a really smooth finish. Once the entire assembly was loosely put together we again checked to make sure all the spokes were lined up correctly. Before diving in, I took several photos, made some notes about the spoke pattern and marked the hub and rim in hopes of getting the two synchronized later.
