I was able to reset the code. Also I had to stop and put gas in it today and as usual after putting gas in it, it was hard to start, ran rough and rpms were all over the place. I had the oil changed at a lube change place last week. . You then have to put it in park and restart engine. The ignition voltage is between 10-18 volts.
My truck has had this code in the past and when I would get gas I would just leave my truck running which they say is a big No No and I wouldn't have any problems with it after lol. Should I go ahead and replace it too? As a backup, I also plan to change the vapor canister as it detected a small leak. I have codes P0420, P0442 and P0496. I noticed the car started misfiring in the morning on cold start which lead me to believe that my purge control valve was faulty. This is sporadic after the car is in a standing position. Observe the fuel tank pressure sensor in H2O with a scan tool. I have a code of evaporative emissions system high purge flow. It has been idling really low and but I neeeeever thought I'd be stuck in the middle of the road stalled out. Bench test the new valve and make sure the connector and hoses are properly seated.
