Is it possible this is a one time error, or will I keep seeing this problem? If the transmission fluid is very dirty, it is recommend changing the transmission fluid and if possible removing the transmission pan for further diagnosis. The car will not be able to get out of the way of the oncoming vehicles because it will just creep along ever so slowly and you will get creamed. I fortunately purchased a transmission warranty. When it warms up outside a bit, I'll have to take the door apart to see how everything works so that when this happens again, I'll be able to open the door to fix it myself. Open or short circuit aa2. If either sensor isn't working correctly, the car will run rough and the engine will be less efficient. The low beam headlights just went out.
No telling what mix is in this car at the moment so maybe some input on a proper radiator flush would be good. Matt I am not sure if the warranty is an option. Hey guys, I'm having a similar issue with my tranny. Changes have been made throughout. An aftermarket radiator will not cool the transmission properly during the summer, and you will experience problems with your new transmission eventually.
I was able to drive the car on back roads, traveling about 35-40 mph. Tried again and it started, but had lots of hesitation, took to dealership, they had it for 3 working days and could not duplicate the error and no error code, so they sent the vehicle back to us. Tech notes When the a transmission solenoid is working intermittent, in most cases the problem is not the electrical part of the solenoid; the problem is foreign material obstructing the mechanical function of the solenoid or the flow of the fluid through the transmission valve body. Excessive debris or metal particles on the transmission pan could be an indication that there is a transmission mechanical failure and that the transmission will need to be rebuilt or replaced. After looking at it, I am pretty sure it is rust. I was in a panic situation, I somehow dragged it to the other side. I do not remember if there was oil on the sensor, but this makes sense and I know I didn't clean out the hole.
Door operation is very important in the event of a crash or a fire, so take it seriously. It seems like its more frowned upon to change the trans fluid after a certain mileage.
